We can do anything when it comes to stains. However~ it is becoming very time-consuming to try and match everyone's special color requirements. Please try to keep your colors consistent. We can try and match.. but it might cost you. Click here Stain Colors to go to that page.
We would not recommend mixing stain colors. The result is never the same and color may vary according to the grain and color of the wood. Due to the extra time encored, there is a $5 fee for mixing. There are no returns on mixed stained items. To add the mixing fee to your shopping cart.
What is the difference between, With knobs or With-Out? Good Question, One that we answer about 10 times per week. Most customers feel With-knobs, like the older country traditional look, while the Knob-less customers like the more modern look. The choice is yours to make. At no time, do you need to put holes in your quilt to hang them using either method? Usually, when this option is available, there are two parts that are going to be held together to create the compression to hold your quilt or textile. We call these two parts the Front and Back. With the Knobs Added (With Knobs) we add a hanger bolt to the knobs. These hanger bolts are then placed through holes in the front part and then into crown bolts in the Back part. When you tighten the knobs, it compresses your quilt. Now With-Out the knobs (Knob-less), we don't drill through the Front part, but instead, we add a Boat Barrel Nuts insert into the Back of the Front part. We insert a short Phillips head bolt completely through the Back part into these Barrel nut inserts. These bolts are then tightened from the back to create the compression. Simple slip the quilt about 3/4 of an inch between the Front and Back part & tighten to hang.
In most cases, it's always a good idea to have a little extra room. Our Compression Type Clamping Bars (for example) are made with a 2" shorter front bar. This way the ends are finished, not just chopped off. Two inches is just a ballpark figure.. you can go as much as 4 or 5 inches if you like. As long as you center your quilt or wall hanging, everything should look fine.
You Can, we make them as close to 16" Center. but sometimes that's not possible. If you need custom placement, please drop us an e-mail with the measurement from the left and right of the center.
The clear coat finish we use is Bulls Eye Shellac by Zinsser. It is an All-natural, non-toxic, very durable finish, works great to protect your prized quilt or wall hanging.
